WHAT IS JUVÉDERM®?

JUVÉDERM® is an injectable dermal filler that contains hyaluronic acid, a substance which occurs naturally in the body. Hyaluronic acid (also known as “HA”) helps keep the elasticity in our skin supple and resilient, but its production tends to slow as we age, paving the way for lines and wrinkles to develop. HA-based dermal fillers, such as JUVÉDERM®, can restore volume to areas of the face which have lost the plump, hydrated quality we often associate with a healthy and youthful aesthetic.

WHAT CAN JUVÉDERM® TREAT?

JUVÉDERM® is typically used to treat deep, static wrinkles on the face, such as:

Smile or laugh lines
Perioral lines
Marionette lines
Frown lines
Nasolabial folds

Additionally, certain JUVÉDERM® products can be effective for lip, cheek, and chin augmentation, which can ultimately enhance volume and contour to these areas.

WHAT JUVÉDERM® PRODUCTS DOES INNOVATIVE DENTAL OFFER?

Our Nurse Injector, Lauren Helmuth, will help you weigh your cosmetic goals and choose from this list of fillers. Products can oftentimes be combined for more dramatic facial enhancement results.

WHAT DOES THE JUVÉDERM® PROCEDURE INVOLVE?

Like most dermal fillers, JUVÉDERM® involves a minimally-invasive procedure which rarely lasts longer than an hour. Using a very fine needle, our Nurse Injector will administer the filler to the treatment area. The process is not typically considered painful, and some of the fillers contain lidocaine – an anesthetic – which can help further reduce discomfort. If you have lingering concerns about discomfort during treatment, additional solutions—such as topical numbing creams—can be discussed during your consultation.

Depending on the specific products used, the results of JUVÉDERM® can typically last between six months and two years. To maintain results for even longer periods, we may recommend scheduling a “touch-up” appointment once the effects begin to fade.

HOW MUCH DOES JUVÉDERM® COST?

The cost of JUVÉDERM® treatment at our practice typically depends on several factors, including which specific product(s) are utilized, how many individual areas are being treated, and the number of sessions needed. We will determine the price of your JUVÉDERM® experience at your initial consultation.
