Implant Smile Makeover—Is It Really Possible to Smile Again?

Dr. Grant Olson of Innovative Dental has helped numerous patients regain their smiles and their confidence using dental implant restorations. In this video, he showcases a patient with worn-down and decayed dentition who came to Innovative Dental seeking aesthetic and functional rejuvenation.

Dr. Olson began by using the CHROME™ GuidedSMILE™ system to create a digital map of the patient’s smile. From there, 3D imaging allowed him and his team to plan out the optimal locations for the individual dental implants that would eventually support the patient’s full arch implant prosthesis—also known as an implant-supported denture. Dr. Olson believes that planning out every step of an implant restoration prior to surgery allows him to provide optimal outcomes for patients.

Once her personalized treatment plan was created, the patient returned to the Innovative Dental office and Dr. Olson placed her implants using the precise surgical guide he had designed. He then secured a temporary denture prosthetic in place so that the patient never had to go without teeth. Once her implants fully fuse with the jawbone—a process that typically takes about six months—her permanent denture can be securely affixed within her mouth, providing long-lasting smile rejuvenation. Dr. Olson utilizes state-of-the-art zirconia restorations to provide optimal durability and aesthetics.
